problem with dual monitor setup

im having problems getting my second monitor up and running. i know it physically works since ive used it with a different system. when i goto my display settings, i see both monitors listed with both vid cards. when i check extend my windows onto this desktop and hit apply, it automatically unchecks itself. any idea why it might be doing this?

upgrade your video card drivers it should autodetect the 2 monitors

Are you checking the “Use this device as the primary monitor” checkbox too?.

the machine already detected both monitors and vid cards. i figured it out though. i had SLi enabled, just needed to disable it and it worked fine. i'm loving this dual widescreen setup.
